Immerse Yourself In Culture at New York’s Havana Film Festival

If you’re aching to get a little bit more cultural this Spring, then you might want to check out New York’s 19^th Havana Film Festival, returning to a variety of venues in New York and running from April 6tth until April 17^th. At the festival, you’ll get to experience more than twenty-five films that were created in Latin America. The films demonstrate a variety of genres, including dramas, comedies, classics, and premiers. Each movie will expand your sense of Latin American culture, and you’ll walk away with a better comprehension of their principles.

Tradition, Culture, And Film

The Havana Film Festival has a nineteen-year history of promoting Latin American filmmakers and connecting them with members of the audience. The talent you’ll witness while you watch the movies and peruse around the venue will amaze you. Cuban screenwriter Senel Paz will receive tribute from the festival while the memories of filmmaking legends Tomas Guiterrez Alea and Fernando Birri will touch you. You’ll get twelve days of fantastic movies to fulfill your entertainment needs.

Tickets And Times

The 19^th Havana Film Festival takes place at various locations in New York. Those locations include The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Museum of the Moving Image, AMC Loews 34^th St. King Juan Carolos I of Spain Center, SVA Ampitheater, and the Directors Guild of America Theater. The event will be held from April 6^th until April 17^th, and run daily from 1 PM until 11 PM. Ticket prices vary, depending on if you are buying a full pass or a one-day pass. We have listed ticket prices below.

• All Access Festival Pass: $400. This pass allows you to attend all events, including reserved seat events at opening and closing nights, parties, and screenings.
• Festival Pass: $200. With a festival pass, you’ll get reserved seating for all panel discussions and every screening. Seats will also be held for you up to 15 minutes prior to the start of every movie.
• Student/Senior Festival Pass: $150. This pass gets you a discount on reserved seats at every panel discussion and each screening. It works like a Festival Pass, but gives you a discount on your festival pass price.
• Weekday Pass: $50. The weekday pass allows you to see all Monday-Friday film screenings that occur before 6 PM.
